Have a Ball This Summer

We are on the downhill slope towards summer in the classroom for sure! This week, I’m focused on TCAP and all the strategies for testing. The next two weeks will be jammed pack full of testing, and students will be exhausted, as will I! However, I know summer is right around the corner. With those last few weeks of school, I want to us to end on a positive note.

That’s why I’ve created a fun bulletin board or wall activity. Students will write in the blank spaces the things they plan to do this summer. Then they will color their beach balls. I always try to encourage my students to think of some of the mundane things they’ll do like play outside instead of getting caught up on vacations, or the lack thereof. I always will make my own to show as an example to students as well.

You can snag your copy on TPT store here. I hope you all are having a great school year! Let me know in the comments any other activities you want to see.

Never Stop Growing

As spring is upon us, I wanted a new fun picture for my door. I love something that gets my students thinking but also allows them to be creative. I knew this fun flower would be the perfect thing. Since April is the month of state testing for our school, this will allow students to write about how they can continue to achieve their goals. Students will write on each petal the ways they can keep growing and show what they know. Students can then color their flower and cut them out. I will post these on my door.

You can snag your own copy on Teachers Pay Teachers Store here. Let me know what else you want to see on my store! Drop me a comment below.
